Undergraduate Degrees

BA Degree in Environmental Studies - This degree focuses on the social, political, economic and cultural forces that guide society's role in both causing and solving environmental problems, and on the role of society in perturbing environmental systems.

BS Degree in Environmental Science - This degree focuses on the ways in which material and energy are moved and transformed in complex environmental systems, the role of society in disturbing those processes, and the techniques of science and engineering that might be used to improve environmental quality.

Minor in Environmental Science and Studies - The Minor is designed for students wishing to remain in another discipline, but who have an interest in the environmental field as an area of application.

Minor in Sustainability - The minor meshes well with new Carolina curriculum requirements, which stress interdisciplinary study organized around key societal issues that span the geographic scale from local and state to national and global.
